the idiot who just had to expose hundreds of innocent people to drug-resistant tuberculosis so he could go on his honeymoon in greece is a lawyer. and not just a lawyer, a personal-injury lawyer.
could he be any more of a stereotype? “hi, i’m andrew speaker, self-absorbed asshole lawyer guy, nice to meet you! [cough cough.] here, take my card in case you get drug resistant tb; we can sue the airline for letting me on this flight!”
i hate lawyers.

Amazing that his father in law didn’t tell him more firmly that he had no business getting on an airplane. This is a nice extreme example of why I get so annoyed with people traveling while they’re sick.
What sort of family is this where the father-in-law let him travel??? “Atlanta personal injury lawyer whose new father-in-law is a CDC microbiologist specializing in the spread of TB.”
WTF, ugh this makes me mad & slightly worried about flying in August - I mean I work with infectous diseases all day long but we have RULES & PRECAUTIONS - probably way safer in a TB lab than on public transport these days
This sucker’s selfishness is amazing. Take a look at the pic of him and his betrothed (being shown on several news programs) and you’ll see what was going thru his head. He bagged an obvious trophy wife, blonde and big-boobed, and the USA wasn’t good enough for these two to tie the knot in. He had to keep up the lavish lifestyle, so an expensive trip to Europe just couldn’t be cancelled….his honeymoon was more important than risking people’s lives.
Now of course his being a lawyer means he has to cover himself with plausible deniability. I don’t buy his supposed ignorance of his condition, or that the medical authorities only “suggested” he not travel. I don’t believe in suing for every little thing, but this guy’s got it coming for at least the panic and checkup costs he’s incurring on his unwtting fellow passengers.
And the CDC connection…something funny about that……
Let us pray that one of his bachelor-party whores gave him something that will cause him greater inconvenience than the TB.
God this guy is a major asshole. I gotta say it though…white folks seem to have it made…lie, endanger people, and hide…something tells me this guy is a republican with the stupidity factor at 100…and why be surprised at the fact that he is a lawyer???? Bush is our president right? how did HE get to be president? white/republican/ asshole…go figgia. Someone PLEASE SUE THIS IDIOT!
Another bizzare (and potentially hilarious) posibility is that the guy may be the biggest chump in the world….could it be his own wife and father-in-law have conspired to kill him so she can inherit his assests? How much is he worth? It’s just too much of a co-incidence that his father-in-law is a TB expert with the CDC. He works with drug-resistant TB, and his new son-in-law happens to have the same! Could he have infected the schlup with it somehow? And “Pops” was at their wedding (in Greece I think) so he knew his son-in-law was travelling against medical orders. Something is starting to stink, more than just Speaker’s cowardly actions….
PS: I see a “Law & Order” episode based on this in the future……
A friend of mine had a great theory yesterday… we agree that it is WAY TOO coincidental that the father-in-law works with DRTB. So we think that what better way to increase awareness and thus get funding for your TB research then to infect a young, relatively attractive person and fly him all over the world?
I hate lawyers, too! Oh wait… ;o)
